Is Africa Blessed or Cursed?

Is it really true that the U.S.A, India, China, Europe, Argentina, New Zealand can fit into Africa? And that Zambia, Zimbabwe and the DRC have the potential to feed the world?

Someone saw the River Congo for the first time and took long to realize it was a river because of its massive width. I want to see it. And the Niger. And Zambezi. At least I’ve seen the Nile.

Is it true that the DRC has 90% of the world’s cobalt? Is there any country in Africa which has no mineral?

Is it true that Asia and Africa were the first homelands of Judeo-Christianity?

Both. Blessed by God. Cursed by our leaders. Cursed by our selfishness. Cursed by our greed. Cursed by our division.

Should I go on?

Just think of the hydro-electric power the continent could tap from just the river Congo and export.

I wonder if there is a relationship between the fact that many Christian organisations and Christians in Uganda are beggars and the huge percentage of Ugandans that are poor. Many of them depend on donations. We have more wealth than moslem countries can get from their oil but look at us. Look.

Blessed. The "curse" is a mist, it's a temporary mind trick. It's the damn West! :o)

See Acts 8:26-40. Ethiopia meant all of Africa in that time, in that context. The church Phillip built is still standing in Axum, modern Ethiopia.

All: Africa has a lot of potential to be developed if only she stopped thinking that only outsiders can help her.

Robyn, thank you. You are so kind.

Sam I have had this comment for ages. Unable to place it because word verification doesn't allow me to comment via phone.

Africa is like a beautiful girl, as Lulu said.
A beautiful girl with brains and talents. Who ended up under the power of a pimp. Now all her talents and brains are going to waste.
